Yes absolutely no problem. Just remember that the sound has to be appropriate to the bass, and TASTEFUL.

This is no problem whatsoever, the only problem would be if the resulting sound was unpleasant to the audience, should you ever have one.
There are no electrical or electronic issues to consider.However some of the really deep frequencies might be lost- which may or may not be audible to the human ear.

Yes, it will not hurt anything. Bass-taylored pedals are designed to enhance the sound of the bass, but they aren't more reliable than guitar effects on a bass. I use both bass and guitar effects pedals on my bass. =)

Not a problem, as long it "fits the sound" ie dont use a wah wah or a reverb on the bass, unless its for a specific effect
