Initially, many would say that there are two keys: (1) How well Manning plays; and (2) How well the Chicago defence plays.
Effectively, the argument here is that if the Indy offence beats up the Bears defence, the Colts will win. Alternatively, if the Bears defence beats up Manning all game, the Bears will win.
Personally, I think this is a moot point! Manning is going to be good... and the Bears defence is going to be good! So, believing this, I'd expect the Colts to score between 14 and 24 points. Manning will still get a touchdown or two, but the Bears will keep him from putting up 35 + points etc!
Thus, I think the real key to the game is how the Colts Defence plays! The Chicago offence is not considered to be good, but they have put up numbers against bad defences this year! If the Colts defence has a bad game, then Chicago can outscore those 14-24 points I think Indy will score. Bad defensive play can make a mediocre quarterback, like Grossman, look very good!
My belief is that the Colts defence is not as bad as it was in the past few years, and I think that this will hold true in the Super Bowl. Grossman and company will score between 10 - 14 points... that's it! Simply put, a reasonably good defence (the Colts) is stronger than the inconsistent and troubled Bears offence!
Everyone talks about the keys to a game like this as being those aspects that are most obvious and forefront (the Bears 'D' and the Colts 'O'), but more often that not, it is the "other side of the ball" that matters when two such powers meet up! And the Bears 'O' will succumb to the Colts 'D'....
One other thing that I think is worth mentioning: The Bears thrive on bringing teams into Soldier Field, in the wintery months, and using that combination to their huge advantage! Well, no such advantage during the Super Bowl... Miami is hardly a frozen football field with blustery wind-chill!

Well its been said so much. Any team can win on any given day. Well this day in particular I think will go to the Colts. The offensive weapons they have. A precision passer, recievers who seem to have more stickem on their arms than Fred Belitnikoff and a tight end playing the slot at times with the speed of a wide out. Until he runs 40 yards then starts to huff and puff. So the offense goes to the Colts. I dont need to talk about Rex Grossmans year do I? The defense is where it gets a little hazy. The Bears have the number one defense but, who did they play? Not a whole lot of high caliber teams. Come on their division is them, the Pack, Lions and Vikings. Heck only Green Bay had a winning season if you call 8-8 a winning season. And the rest of the NFC isnt all that tough. Chicago played two AFC teams and loses to both. New England and Miami and Miami doesnt even have a winning record. I know back to any team can win on any given day. The Colts defense has come out of no where with the return of Bob Sanders. The teams stats for the season are terrible. But this defense is playing like the Baltimore Ravens now. Which in my opionion is the best in the NFL. Because they play in the AFC. A tougher conference. So the Bears Ill give them a slight edge in defense just because they have been doing it all year long. A good defense against a great offense Colts advantage. A so so offense against a resurgent defense Colts advantage. Superbowl 41 in the books.
Colts 38
Bears 16

I've always been a believer in the quote "Defense wins championships." So defense will be the key. The Bears defense will be there, duh, but I really think the X factor is the Colts defense. The Colts offense is good enough to where they might balance out the great Bears defense, but what the Colts need to do is stop the Bears run. Who knows what Rex will show up in such a high pressure game, but if they can stop the run and put pressure on Rex, they shouldn't have a problem adjusting to Rex. The Colts have been playing solid defense in the playoffs and as long as they stop the Bears running game, I definitely see them winning this game.

Early control for either team, I think, will spell victory in this match.
If Manning can come out solid, get Addai established in order to keep the D honest, and most importantly, not turn the ball over, I don't see the Colts unraveling in the second half with a big lead, as the Cards did (against "da Bears") earlier in the year.
On the flip side, if the Bears get out early, like they did against the Saints (and like the Pats did against the Colts) then Indy is in big trouble. Manning's offense will not wear down the Bears' D as it did against the already-weary Patriots. And as we saw in the Patriots game, Indy's D just can't seem to stop anyone, so scoring points won't help if you're just trading punches. You let Grossman get hot just once or twice (and he can), and the running game of Johnson, as well as that vicious pass rush will do the rest.

There's really no way to defend Peyton Manning. All you can do is try to limit him as much as possible.
The question is how long can the Bears to that? Maybe a quater and a half at most if the play killer defense, after that Peyton now knows where to attack, and when he does it's lights out just like with New England who was up by 18.
The Bears don't have a chance in this one.
Colts 30 Bears 16.

the offense in bears sucks, so they will not score any points, but they have a good defense. Colts are going to win because they just have the better team right now. Only problem for colts is bears defense

They are different but in the playoffs have show similar styles. Both QB's have played great. Manning has been the biggest disappointment throwing 2 TD's and 6 INT's. They both run Cover 2 defenses which will benefit Manning more than Rex because...well he is much better. The key is the running game. Who can get theirs going and control the clock will win the game. For obvious reason's it will not be a shoot out but more of a controlled game. Playoffs alone, both of these teams have played pretty similar with little offensive showing, but stellar defense.

Colts will win the Superbowl.
The Bears defense will try blitzing manning all day (of course), thus exposing their secondary. Manning will pick them apart, and Grossman will not be able to put up Colts-like points.
Look for it to be around 41 - 10 Colts victory.

Manning has to get past the Chicago defense.
I really think thats it.
The Bears' QB SUCKS, no matter what any Bears fan tells you, but their defense is ferocious.
If Peyton can score on the Bears consistently, i think the COlts win.
