I am eight weeks pregnant and I have been having horrible stomach cramps and when I went to the hospital I was told I have a cyst on my right ovary which is very small he said, but still causes me pain. When I am in pain does this irritates or affects the baby? and Will they ever go away or will I have to have them remove before or after my baby is born?

In my family my grandmother on my mother side is known for having cyst problems and she always have to have them removed. Will this happen to me to since it happens to my grandmother and What will happen to my Baby?

Your pregnancy will probably make it go away. It will not cause your baby any problems unless it gets very large. I have had them as big a golf balls before and they eventually ruptured on there own. Yes there was some pain. Tylenol will help. Thats about all you can take while you are pregnant. I'm pregnant, too, and that is all I can take. It's better than nothing.

i have cystic ovaries and pregnancy should cause it to go away. probably it formed before you were pregnant. you are less likely after your pregnancy to develop cysts if you are breastfeeding because of the hormone levels in your body. a monophasic birth control after you have the baby will help to control your cysts, preferably one with the shortened period of inactive pills, because the longer you don't have the hormones in your system the more chance your body has to form cysts. triphasic pills are not recommended because the hormone level changes every week so they don't control the cysts as well.
