American Idol DOORS... has anyone else noticed how they keep one door locked so the contestants look like?

idiots trying to leave the audition after they have already been humilitated??? And sometimes they say "Other Door" and laugh at them.

I was surprised last night that they were not as mean as usual.

The lock the door so that Ryan Seacrest can stand behind it and not get knocked out when the contestants exit the audition.

I think the door should have a sign "use other door" this way it would be even funnier when they tried the wrong door. I am not a mean spirited person but I dont feel sorry for anyone who goes on the show after 6 seasons if you don't know what you could get yourself into don't go on.

i think American Idol intentionally locks the left element of that door, to make the contestants look extra awkward while they are leaving. I comprehend many human beings can't sing, and won't have "it", however the judges extremely annoy me while they pass out of their thank you to make relaxing of human beings for the earnings of rankings. case in point, with the mummy and daughter...the only reason the judges called the mummy in, grow to be to spotlight how diverse the two considered one of them have been. additionally, the judges allowed the extra youthful application engineer to sing longer than everybody else who auditioned, just to make relaxing of him. I did notice the thing about the doors. As if they weren't humiliated enough, now they have to feel even more stupid by trying to exit out a locked door. I was wondering why they didn't just unlock both of them. It seems like most people try to exit out that left door.

These people are humiliated because they put themselves out there to be. Everyone in their family, their friends tell them they sing good and they should try out. If people were honest..it wouldn't be so bad.

People also just act like a moron to get on TV, they couldn't care less about "making it".

it is funny when someone pushes a door that is locked. i've done it a million times and i laugh at myself for picking a door that was locked

I always laugh when they try to make this big dramatic exit and then they are at the locked door. They weren't as mean last nite, I think they all had hangovers.

I AGREE THAT A SIGN ON THE DOOR WOULD HAVE MADE GOOD SENSE, BUT IN GENERAL THE DOOR TO YOUR RIGHT IS THE ONE USED TO GO THROUGH. THINK OF GROCERY STORES AND SUCH, BUT I AM SURE THEY WERE NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT.

i love whatching the beginning of American Idol. always get a good laugh...
