hundreDs is the place on the left side of the decimal. (As in hte 1 in 120.)
HundreTHs is the place on the right side of the decimal. (as in the 4 in 0.245)
Rounding is when you find the exact answer and then round the answer to a specific place value. (Ex: 1.5 + 1.25 = 2.75, rounded to the nearest tenth is 2.8)
Estimating is when you round all the figures first (to easy numbers to work with), then perform the intended operation. (Ex: Estimate 103 x 21... round 103 to 100... 21 to 20... 100x20 = 2000. The exact answer is 103 x 21 = 2163.)

"Hundredths" are fractional parts, such as 1/100, or 1%. In the number 123.456, the "5" is in the hundredths place
"Hundreds" is looking at the decimal place in the other direction. In the number 123.456, the "1" is in the hundreds place.
"Rounding" is discarding a fractional portion of a number, but leaving a result that is closest to the original number. Portions of fractions below 5 are rounded down (just drop off), above 5 they are rounded up (drop off but add one to the numeral in the place before it). The number 123.456, rounded to the nearest whole number, is 123. The number 123.456, rounded to the nearest hundredth, is 123.46. Depending on the situation, a 5 can be rounded either up or down, so 12.5 rounded to the nearest whole number could be either 12 or 13. Generally, the rule would be to round it down.
"Estimating" is getting an idea of about how large a complicated number is without having to calculate it precisely. For example, 123.456 times 654.321 equals exactly 80779.853376, but for everyday problems you probably don't need an answer that precise. Round the numbers to the nearest ten and try again-- 120 times 660 is 79200. If you had to know how the answer to the closest 10,000, either would give the correct answer-- after rounding, both 80779.853376 and 79200 would give you 80,000.

Hundreds of an item means just that. I can have two hundred dollars, that is 2 * 100 * $1
Hundredths on the othr hand means that one item, that $1 bill, has been divided into one hudrend parts so 2 hundredths is not even one, while two hundred is 200 times one
This is exactly the same as saying that hundredths is a fraction, the denominator is 100, which means it can be represented as a percent.
In that case two hundreds is 200% while two hundredths is 2% of one. Which if we think in terms of the money above, then 200% of $1 is $200, while 2% of $1 is .02 cents (two hundredths)

Hundredths are to the right of the decimal point (.001) while hundreds are to the left (100.)
Rounding is a specific set, such as round to the nearest 100 and the number that you need to round is 247. The nearest 100 would be 200. If you needed to round 253, then the nearest 100 would be 300.
Estimating is a little more difficult and is more often used when you have a series of numbers.

Hundreth is 2 decimal places like 0.02, 0.13, 0.24 all the the numbers at the end r 2decimal places so u call it hundreth
Whereas Hundred is a whole number with unit,tens,hundred at the end like: 200 , 300 ,500 ,900
Rounding is : to change one digit at the end by checking if it is greater than 5 or less than five eg:
a) 29.9( 0.9 is greater than 5 so we add 1 to the last number) so 9+1 u get = 30
Whereas Estimating means to estimate take an value to just give an answer in easier form like::
a) 2999 u can say estimatedly 3000.....
hope u get it........lets see if it works out

If you take the number 123 the one is in the hundreds place however it you take .123 the 2 is is the hundredths place.
Rounding if you round the number 124 to the nearest hundred it would be 100. rounding the number .123 to the nearest hundredth would be .12.
Estimating is when you take a list of number and estimate what the sum will be by rounding the number such as:
824 + 356 + 289=1469 actual total
If you estimate it by round to the nearest tens place it would look like this:
820 + 360 + 290= 1470 estimated total
Hope this helps

one hundredth is 0.01
one hundred is 100
a hundredth means that it takes 100 of them to equal 1
rounding would be to "round off" additional digits.
For instance if you wanted to round the number
1.9347 to the nearest hundredth,
you would be wanting to end up with a number with only two decimal places. To round, you typically round up to the nearest digit if the next digit is 5 or more and you generally round down to the nearest digit if the next digit is 0-4. So this example rounds down to 1.93, rounded to the nearest hundredth.
Estimation is more of a way to get the answer without really doing the math. For instance:
If you want to divide 483466554 by 63 and you could not use a calculator but had to choose from 4 answers:
a) 4567
b) 54346
c) 7674072
d) 487475743
You might make the estimation to this difficult division by instead dividing the original number by 100 since 63 is closest to 100. Dividing the number by 100 is easy, the decimal place just moves 2 places to the left to give you:
4834665.54 (round off the decimals)
4834666
Which you notice is a 7- digit number. Dividing by 63 instead of 100 should yield a larger number, but not too much larger. Therefore you pick the only 7-digit number among the answers and choose the correct answer, c.

This is easy stuff...whenever there is the suffix "-ths" they are referring to a number smaller than 1, therefore to the right of the decimal place. EX 1.02 is One and 2-one-hundreths. If it was 1.2, then it would be One and 2 Tenths. For rounding, you round a number to the next higher integer of that number, ex 1.2 would be rounded to 1, and 1.02 would get rounded to 1 as well (well to 1.0, which is one(1)) if you have 1.6, then it would round to 2, and 1.06 would get rounded to 1.1.....catching on?? Ok, now estimating is the process of NOT doing any math, but just "guessing" at the final result, ex 1.02 + 2.3 = 3, or 1.7 x 2 = 4, just rounding in your head and guessing at the answer. A round "ballpark" figure is all that is needed. Well hope that helped.

HUNDREDTHS is a fractional part of one. Written .01
HUNDREDS are numbers shown in the third place from the right:
158
1=100 (1 one hundred)
5=50 (5 tens)
8=8 (8 ones)

Hundreths = .01
Hundreds = 100
Rounding is taking a number and bringing it to the nearest whole number (or tenth, hundreth ....)
Estimating is a guess based on information that you have .
IE: 258.3699 rounded to the nearest hundreth is 258.37
whereas estimating would be if you looked at a box of apples and said I think there are about 258 apples in it.
