Well, that depends. How cold is it in your area? Is it below 32 degrees? If so, don't mow under ANY circumstances as doing so will "burn" brown stripes into the lawn that won't go away until after your spring fertilization. If it was below freezing overnight, but right around daybreak it started climbing above 32 degrees so the ground has had enough time to thaw, go ahead and mow it - but only in the afternoon around 2:00 PM so the grass has time to "stand up" again. If it's above 32 degrees at night, feel free to mow anytime. Most of all: make sure you don't cut the grass *too* low, as doing so could cause your lawn to brown out until spring.

Well I live in the south so it's only in the 40's to 50's here but I will tell you I thought it was too cold in the winter to mow. Till one day I came home and my father-in-law was over here cutting the grass. So I guess you can mow so if you need it go for it. Your yard sure will look better than your neighbors.

The only time you would not mow your grass is if it covered with snow but whether cold or not you move your grass if out side is too cold put on your warm jacket and get going when you start to push that mower you wont even feel cold.

yes, you will end up damaging your grass and it wont grow as good in the spring. you should mow the day before it calls for the first snow fall. thats what my dad always said

Depends on where you live, the climate, if the ground is frozen. I would look on the internet and see what a professional landscape company advises. If you grass is dormant, you don't want to cut it.

If it is growing it can be mowed. Maybe should not be mowed as short as in the warmer weather. But it can definitely be mowed. Whip it out!!!!!!!!

It shouldn't be growing right now. But I dont know were you are but if you did not cut it when it was warner. An you let it get tall I would go ahead an cut it half way down then when spring gets here cut it before it gets out of hand.
