Who wrote paradise lost?

Is it true it was written shortly after the author had got married and after his wife died many years later he wrote 'paradise regained'?

It was written by John Milton and discussed the fall in the garden of eden, the origin of sin and Lucifer's ascent into Hell. I should know that. I wrote a thesis on it for a university paper

From what I understand, Milton worked on Paradise lost for a long time, he even dictated to his daughter after he went blind.

It's John Milton and the stuff about his wife is true. He also got remarried after his first wife died and then went blind before he died.

John Milton. Don't know about the wife connection. I am sure if you google the poet and title you will find all that you need to know.
