Yes I visited there several years ago and I thought it was interesting as well. I understand that a tornado a few years ago knocked down several of the big trees on the property. and yes you remember correctly it is Jackson's home

Yep...it was his home. It's a great place to visit.
btw, Nashville has really come a long way in the last 10 years...you should visit. It's a great city.
