Photosynthesis = Anabolic i.e. building up process. requires CO2 ,and gives out O2. It is endothermic process.
Food molecules are synthesised.
Respiration = It is catabolic process i.e. breaking down process
Takes in O2 and gives out CO2 . It is exothermic i.e. heat releasing process. Food molecules are broken down to release
energy.

complemantary because each is needed for the others continual.....in short both are needed for the cyle of life to continue...
photosynthis uses raw materials which are the by products of respiration..namely CO2 and water(which is given out in the vapour form during respiration)...
and respiration requires the end products of photosynthesis... mainly oxygen.

Because photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide and release oxygen, while respiration uses oxygen and release carbon dioxide.
