Sometimes I get BH contractions if I go from sitting down to standing up, standing up to sitting down, changing positions in bed like flipping from side to side, moving around if I'm sitting in a chair. Is this normal? This is my third pregnancy and I'm 33 weeks and have been having BH's since around 20 weeks. I can't say I remember this happening with my other 2.

Yes, it is normal. Remember that every pregnancy is different and your uterus is a constant working muscle throughout pregnancy. If you are getting them and they start or stop with change of position, your fine. When they get down to four or five mins constantly for an hour, time to call the doctor, you might be in labor. of course, always let your doctor know of your concerns. Always remember to drink a lot of fluids especially when they start. Your uterus could be overworking and telling your body it's dehydrated

I had BH contractions that started the same week yours did. I had them if I blinked wrong sunshine. Drink lots and lots of fluids. De-hydration can contribute to strong BH contractions. Everytime I got them real bad or real strong, I would get a large glass of water, drink it, and lie down for about 15 - 20 mins. They will go away. You will be surprised. If you went to the Dr. for it, they would tell you to do the same thing. You are fine. I thought something was wrong w/me too, but it was a normal thing in my pregnancy. I had them everyday all day long. Water helped a lot!

Yep! I started BH with my first around 28 weeks and this one around 20 weeks. Doctor says the more babies the earlier they can start. Also, thats usually how mine would come on was by moving or changing positions, but walking usually calmed them down. I think it's normal, but you could always ask your doctor so they can double check things. Good Luck!!

Everything you are describing is exactly what BH contractions are. They are more frequent and intense in subsequent pregnancies. My 3rd child is 5 months now and I experienced a LOT of BH cont. while pregnant. Every time I moved...

That is totally normal, nothing to worry about. The BH will get stronger and more frequent as your pregnancy progresses. Your body is jsut preparing for child birth. Every pregnancy is different, so don't compare.

it is totally general. you experience them quicker because of the fact it is not your first being pregnant. I even have had them considering approximately 18 weeks and called my physician freaking out, yet he reported it grow to be all general and that i felt them early because of the fact my uterus is already stretched out and with 2nd and next pregnancies you generally experience issues previously.
