I worked as a Pharmacy Technician for awhile and our pharmacist said that a couple of months, especially if unopened should still have it's potency but it's really best to stick to the expiration dates if possible because after that they do lose their potency. If it says 01/07 and it's a months worth of vitamins I would think that's fine. But much beyond that I'd say why bother with taking a pill that might upset your stomach or possibly cause other problems when it will not even benefit your overall health.

The potency level may not be what's indicated on the bottle after the expiration date. Vitamins are usually good up to a year. Most will not harm you if you consume them but again, you will not be gaining the "true" nutritional value as it is labeled.

I was told, by my doctor, that medicine is good for up to a year after the expiration date. Those dates are just so the drug companies can make more money. Again, this is what my doctor told me.

If it hasn't been opened it is in all likelihood fantastic, yet in view that peanut butter has oil in it, each and every from time to time the oil will bypass rancid and make it flavor stale or nasty. So scent it first, then take only a tiny flavor to work out the way it tastes and if it nonetheless tastes good then its fantastic!

The worst that could happen is they don;t work anymore, so you would be "empty" pills. If the bottles is sealed I think they're good cause they haven't been in contact with air to be oxidized.

You can call the 1-800 number listed on the bottle and ask them, but a general rule of thumb is "when in doubt, throw it out".

IMHO

If the date says jan 07 it's O.K. to use them I guess. It is january afterall, but if you can afford new ones, you should get some. Why take any chances with your health?

I was told that you can take them up to six months past the date. This was by a health food professional, so if you are really concerned, ask a pharmacist.
