Do that in a Chinese place, and -if they are smart- they'll laugh mildly and go about their business. They'll be laughing at your ignorance, though. That was an old slur on Japanese, actually, not Chinese. The thinking during WWII was that Japanese people could not properly pronounce "R". So, to find out if an Oriental person was really a US citizen or a Japanese spy, the stupid test was to point out a bowl of fried rice and ask them what it is. Of course it was a ridiculous test to begin with, since it's not true that all Japanese people have this speech problem. And if a so-called spy did have it, a legitimate citizen could too. Ever since, the dregs and immature jokesters of America have applied this to all Orientals, being too bigoted and delusional to care about its origins.

No i am going to't say I had that journey yet i recognize of this one eating position (it is remarkable that they are nonetheless open or that anybody eats there) whose fried rice is basically brown rice with a field of frozen peas and carrots thrown in. Their crispy fried poultry is largely balls of deep fried batter. The very last time i became there (over 10 years in the past) i became sitting there attempting to devour this nutrition searching around the eating position wondering how the different individuals were waiting to choke down that terrible nutrition. I propose became I lacking some thing? became anybody else feeling as annoyed and disgusted on the very actuality of paying money for perchance the more severe chinese (and that i exploit that loosely) nutrition i have ever had?
