What type of hose should you wear with suits and skirts if not nude? esp in cold and for older women?

The look needs to be conservative but practical. I do realize nude hose are out, but they still are present in schools and for job interviews..What is another conservative look for a suit with a skirt or a dressy skirt in fall and winter? tks

What about with a navy suit? black doesn't match.

also...i've never seen bare legs in an office with a suit, even on a young girl. tights and opaque hose seem casual with a suit..

all the magazines say dark tights are in....just don't do sheer

Possibly black, if the rest of your outfit is black. Otherwise, stick with the nude if if you absolutely have to wear hose. I recommend no hose at all.

If you are wearing black, black hose are dressy. Try to go with your skin tone or, if your legs have vein spiders on them or you have other skin problems, match your outfit. Blue, white, taupe, coffee. Hope this helps. (avoid bright colored hose, go with darker tones.)

I like dark colored tights. They are a little heavier than regular stockings and therefore a little warmer. Darker colors also make your legs look a little smaller, if you are a bit heavy.
