In fact yes I have seen 3 quite recently. The first two are in the NFl with the Raiders and Redskins both paying outrageous salaries for stars that are way past their prime and look what happened to both teams. The last case I would have to say is the Yankees, the past few years no World Series showings and yet all Steinbrenner seems to think about is add another all-star to the line-up and it'll be fixed. If only he would get a clue and add a few pitchers then maybe they'll actually make it all the way.

not necessarily. look at the yankees. ok theyre not always the world series winners but theyre up there with the best. i must mention that when they were winning in the 90's it was mostly with little known players, so it could go either way.
