I looked this up for you and it does mean Gold Bonded. As mentioned above this is usually Gold Bonded onto sterling silver. Todays pieces made like this are usually OK to wear everyday. The Gold Plated jewelry does tend to flake off, but Gold Bonding is a different process. This necklace will take more rough treatment than one that is pure 14 K. I tend to by a lot of 10 K gold instead of 14 K myself. The higher the gold content the less durable the piece is.

it is 14 karat gold bonded. That means that there is 14 karat gold bonded over another metal, usually sterling silver if it is of decent quality.
Although it is more durable that gold plated, the gold will eventually wear off so save it for special occasions, do not wear it for everyday.

Gold Backing would be my guess. This would mean that it is backed or plated in 14 karat gold to improve its appearance and to prevent interactions with the metal against your skin.

It is 14 karat gold. The GB could be the artist/designer's initials.
