is there a way to get my ring sized to 5.25 or does it either have to be 5 or 5.5?

cause 5.5 is just too big, but 5 is too small.

Yes. Rings are usually sold in half and whole sizes, but jewelers can make it any size you need them to...quarter, half and whole sizes.

take it to a reputable jeweler or goldsmith and they should be able to size it to whatever size you need.

of course all you need to do is go to a good jewelery store and they can size it to fit your finger exactly.
