Sadly, I am 25 and have the same situation. I'm saving up my money and working on getting a better career to move out. With the price of housing these days, it's hard to live on your own. With a college degree, you think they'd pay your more. I don't make much more than someone with a high school GED. It's pathetic. Nowadays, I think many children are living at home longer and older. It's not like it used to be when our parents were young. Back then you could actually get a good job with only an associates. Now you need a Masters and PhD.

Nothing wrong at all. I will be 23 in May. I graduated from college in May 06 and just started working full time. I am trying to pay off bills and save money for a place of my own. I dont' want to be at home anymore, but how can we young 20'somethings afford anything in this market? Prices are absurd!!!

What is wrong is "There is no plan to move". If you plan now while in collage, you can have yourself set to be on your own, when you get your degree.

Have you bought a Bed, bed room furniture, dishes, cook utensils, toilet equipment for the bath room? These little plans save a lot of money when you do move. If your first move is to OHIO from Oklahoma, a car and a trailer can make the move with minor cost for you and all of your things.

Start small, talk about it with your parents, they will be glad to help, and their help will be a great treasure.
