Depends on your status as of 12/31/06. If you were divorced on that date and have children you can file single head of household. If you were still married on that date, you cannot file as single.

no, absolutely not. You were married at the end of 2006, which means you either need to file married filing seperately or married filing jointly. head of household is only for non-married individuals.

I believe head of household has to do with being single with children. If you're married, then you both file a joint return.
