Cafe Medi, on business 26 (colleyville road) is incredible in a whole bunch of ways including everything that you mentioned in your question.
The food is Mediterranean and Greek. It's some of the best Greek food I've ever had, and for that matter, it's excellent compared to any food anywhere, regardless of the style or ethnicity of the cuisine.
Portions are hot, made from fresh ingredients, and served in large portions that will probably make a filling lunch the next day.
The menu is diverse enough that anyone can find something tasty.
They are family owned and operated. The people that run the place will frequently come out to see how you are doing. The wait staff is attentive but not overly so. They are polite but not suck-up-ish.
The lights at night are dimmed enough to make a romantic atmosphere but bright enough to see well. The tables are set formally, with linens and silver. The ambiance is casual, yet elegant, relaxing but formal enough to make you feel like it's a special event. You can go in jeans or dress up and be equally appropriate.
Prices are very fair for the quality and ambiance. The entrees run from 8 to 20 bucks depending on what you have. Here's the beautiful part - they don't have a liquor license, so they have absolutely no problem with people bringing their own wine or beer. You can pick up a delicious bottle of wine in the 15-20 range on the way, that would normally go for 40-50 bucks on a restuarant wine list, and pocket the savings without feeling cheap, because you aren't, it's just the way it works there.
Here's the really cool finish - you can have a delicious but very different dessert, such as baklava along with maybe some hot rich Turkish coffee served in the traditional way. The have patio heaters and a small sheltered half tent in the colder weather, and you can go outside and smoke a hookah, also known as a middle eastern water pipe (There's no smoking inside of course). The tobacco and the pipe are made such that the flavors and smoke are so smooth that a non-smoker such as myself had no problem enjoying this immensely. Between the relaxing effects of the wine, the smoke, and the food, I ended up lounging on the patio for almost 2 hours. The hookah is a very social process and you may end up visiting comfortably with those around you. It was the ultimate relaxing decadent cap at the end of a fabulously delicious meal.
I hope you decide to give this place a try. I know I sound like I own it myself, but I really don't. I just love great food, great restuarants, good service, and I respect entrepreneurs that go head to head with the big guys and do it successfully.

Have you tried Love and War in Texas (Steak House)?
They are in the parking lot of the Grapevine Mills Mall and have some pretty good food (Went there for a presentation).

The cheese cake factory has a variety of diffrent things on the menu I would recommend that you make reservations a week in advance unless you want to have a 2 hour wait before your seated. Dave and Busters is a hot spot with alot of the locals their motto is eat, play, drink. There's lot's of diffrent options for the even the pickest eater, and where your done head on over to the arcade for some games.
