Black republican is a reference to being a rich and powerful black person and the inner conflicts that are born from that condition. It is about what money does to a person. Jay Z examines it in the context of success in a rap career after coming up from nothing and Nas examines it in a street dealer. Remember that jay Z says "I feel like a Black Republican".

to me a black republican is a african american who has "escaped poverty" or whatever their position in society was, in order to better his previous family situation and in a sense "make it for himself" and his family. Many Democrats believe blacks are owed certain unalienable rights like everyone is supposed to have, however bc blacsk didn't even get "freedom,"until 1968, and in essence still dont have "freedom, in many places. "they," believe their forefathesr who were "slaves," built this country just as much as the "white man," did, if not more. They tend to believe "they." are owed advances in terms of funding, education, living and a sense of community due to years of neglect and "second hand," everything. Not to mention all the mistreatment in the past and the lack of true citizenship, when they "did all the work."
Black republicans, however, see many black democrats as "lazy," and not doing anything about their situation and just waiting on "handouts," and for things to get better....such as going along with the obama "hope," campaign. African Americans whether right or wrong probably may never receive thier "40 acres and a mule," as they were jokingly promise; though at the time seemed less than legitimate, or just, for all they're done for the "county,"; yet it woldve been a building block for blacks to begin to start their community among many other things to help "keep up with the jones'," in a sense, which was never truly possible for them at the time. Some land, some housing and some money, is what they "deserved,." Of cpurse this is all using hindsight bias, however .....if that had happened... who knows...black on black crime may not even exist......poverty may be incredibly lower........and the usa would be much more equal and less"compromising," and more "free."

just my 2 cents. i respect all people opinions as long as they back them with facts, or first hand experiences. Everyone is different and comes from different places and in such we all have different views on topics. educated ideas and thoughts
should be encouraged to be shared instead or ashamed to speak upon Show respect to your other man/woman and it will get you a lot father, or at least much more "respected," in your life.
Love and light ya'll

Black Republican- isn't that an oxymoron, like military intelligence? Yeah, it basically means a sellout or traitor to the cause.
