Depends on the job, but yes. At my last job I use to put bourbon in my coffee. If you knew my boss you'd understand why. And then at lunch I would have a glass of wine. When I came back to work the Mexicans would yell "borracha, borracha" which means drunk. At my new job it's awesome and sometimes on Fridays after 5pm we'll have a beer. But it's a cool place and they actually let us keep it there in the fridge. :)

lol-yes, yrs ago I used to stop in a bar & have a beer on the way to work,-I was a dishwasher in a local restaurant. (I was sent home twice by one manager & forced on shift once by another manager on the nights I went to work too drunk.) But I quit going to work after drinking, I may feel good at first but it can lead to a hangover from hell!

We do that all the time mostly on Fridays, but we've been know to do it on other days too. I'm a lot nicer to people when I'm drinking, so it usually ends the day on a good note.

The Office I once worked at was closing,and they allowed us to bring in some drinks(Which happened to be totally against Company Policy!).
While others worked(In the same area) Our team sank cocktails at Lunch time!.
A First at this Global Communication Company!!

Yes, on several occasions. My owner has a bar built behind a false wall, that when he pushes a button the wall opens up to expose the bar. Talk about a genius.

we had a company store where you could get fountain drinks, and sometimes on Friday we'd sneak some Crown Royal in to work and we'd get a fountain drink and start mixing and drinking until we were pretty nice and buzzed...i miss those days

in the 90s during the internet boom in SF it was normal for us to have a beer or two with lunch if we felt like it.

Yes. I used to drink at work alot. I worked at a bakery, and the cooks always had liquor or wine in the back.

ha ha! I don't drink in my full time job (mon - fri) but I also work part-time in KFC and often take a bottle of wine or half bottle of vodka in and have a few drinks. Am I bad? lol
