i dont mean much, just like 20 a month for good grades. i know youre going to think the idea is rediculous but think about it... most students get bad grades because theyre lacking motivation to do homework. im sure 20 bucks will give kids motivation to get it done. more students would get into college and maybe we'll have more doctors and scientists. im just trying to say that money is probably the most convincing way to get students to do well in school.
btw these are just random thoughts i have, you dont have to take them seriously or even agree with me.

yes, students are getting paid by their parents because their parents are supporting them, but i dont think students realise how important school is UNTIL they get out of school. jobs are set up where you get a raise for doing a good job. giving money to good students kinda teaches them this lesson.

The concern is $20 doesn't really go anywhere nowadays.
i agree that there needs to be a more tangible degree of motivation, but, to be honest, true motivation comes from within.
There is nothing I can say and nothing I can do if you will be stubborn

First who would pay you? Second no I dont think they should get paid to do homework. The motivation for doing your homework and studying hard in school is to get yourself into a good college and then get a great job that pays you a fortune to do something you love. That is your motivation. OR you could do crappy in school and make minimum wage which our lovely gov just scrapped raising and make 7000.00 a year which isnt enough for 1 person to live on. Get smart work hard and change the world!!!
I dont think kids really have a clue what real life is out there. It is sad.

I am a little old school but I think they should be motivated by the desire to reach a better grade on their own. The idea of paying kids for their grades is for me, a way of putting the wrong idea in their heads.
They will get paid for it after they are out in the world and can fill out an application and do a math test.
I wouldn't do it.

Parents need to motivate kids to do things because they are the RIGHT things to do!
Kids coming from a good home often do better in school. Not always, but they're usually more motivated. When I say "good home" I don't mean rich, I mean loving parents who truly want them to succeed.
Again, that's not always the case. Sometimes it just has to be part of a person's makeup, whether they're motivated or not. Loving parents help, though.

I am not sure who you are proposing would pay people to do their homework...parents? the school system?
I teach high school to young adults who dropped out of school in their teens for one reason or another and who now are in their 20s (many with a child or 2) and have realized that they should have done this work years ago. They now realize that they don't want to work at Walmart for the rest of their lives and escaping poverty is all the motivation they need to do their homework.
In North America we take education for granted and don't appreciate what an incredible privilege and luxury it is to have public education available to all citizens.

Awesome thought. But there gotta be some tougher tasks they should get paid for than doing their home works like getting good grades in tests and exams.

They are getting paid, Their parents provide them with a place to live, clothes on their backs, food in their stomach and probably anything else that they ask for, plus they are getting an education!
Sounds like they are paid in full!

My first impression was to say no.
But if the money is given by the parents, and you use that as an additional tool to teach them how to invest money, save money, etc...I don't think it's a terrible idea.

sorry I have to disagree, I think students should get good grades because they want to make something out of themselves and go far in life.
