Im so confused on which weeks are which months ..everyone keeps telling me different. So how many weeks is each month? and im 18weeks so how many months is that? 4 or 5?

Well its a little retarded because they consider you to be pregnant for 40weeks ... which is 10 mths but we are really only pregnant for 9 mths = 36weeks. So since they count the pregnancy from the 1st day of your last period ... you were technically not pregnant for the 1st 2weeks ... conception happens in the 2nd week so that when the baby comes into play. So for your case, 18weeks minus the 2 weeks when you had you period and later conceived would leave you with the baby being inside you for 16weeks now. 16 weeks divided by the 4weeks that make up a mth would leave you with 4mths. So right now you are 4mths pregnant. This would mean your due date was probably calculated to be the end of June. It's easier for women to go by week because you can figure what new exciting developments have happened this week as your baby forms into a perfect little person. But the calculate by mth and not be all complicated about it, just use your due date that was given to you and count backwards to figure out how many mths are left until then and minus that amount from 9. So if you're due at the end of June and its is now that end of January that leaves you with 5more mths to go, 9-5=4 so you are in your 4th mth.

4 /1/2 months pregnant, you will be 5 months when you are 20 weeks pregnant.
Im also 18 weeks pregnant lol and i know what you mean, its so confusing. BUT dr's dont go by months anyways they go by weeks. So just keep track of your weeks and you will be alright, and when people ask you how far along you are, just make an educated guess like i do haha. I just say im 18 weeks or almost 5 months

18 divided by 4 = 4 with 2 left over. You are 4 1/2 mos. But, for simplicity's sake- just tell everyone how many weeks you and let them worry about the math. Congratulations too!!!

Stick with weeks. A "nine month" pregnancy is really 40 weeks, so it is easier to work with weeks. Or else, for your math wizard friends, just say "between 4 and 5 months".
