Why do you think its the best album ever to exist in this universe?
David Gilmours creativity peak! Rogers great lyrics? Vocals? Music? what makes it unique?

I personally think its David Gilmours great deal of compositions and ofcourse his guitar work and Roger Waters lyrics!

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought,
or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say

I agree with you! Dark Side is my favorite album of all time. It's not really unique anymore as everyone from the Beatles (later material) to Radiohead have been influenced by the style of Dark Side. It was one of the first commercially successful concept albums ever produced meaning that the entire album deals with a single theme (that of the drudgery of everyday life). It is also unique in that the entire album is like a single song. Each song flows into the next seamlessly. It is definitely a studio album , the multiple tracks, the effects, the background sounds... it is all incredible, and way ahead of its time. Try listening to the album through a good pair of headphones. You will hear things that you never heard before. It is an all time classic!

Everything. The writing of the music and lyrics, the musicianship ( and tightness of a band playing together for years), the studio musicians and singers also on the album, the outstanding production in the studio (BTW, Alan Parsons, later of Alan Parsons Project, was studio engineer both on Dark Side and Beatles' Abbey Road!) that made it one of the best produced albums ever, the intertwining of the songs, just to name a few.

BTW, I was fortunate enough to see the Dark Side tour @Pittsburgh's Civic Arena. They opened the retractable roof for the 2nd half of the show, which was the Dark Side album from beginning to end (and they also had the same sax player and singers that performed the original parts on the album). No doubt the best tour ever and the best show I've ever seen!

I think it's because of the flow of music. The way it seamlessly flows from one track to the next, you wouldn't know it changed tracks without looking at the player. I agree about Gilmours. His solo in "Time" makes you feel it. Rogers' lyrics are awsome as well. "Home, Home again. I like to be here when I can." The Dark Side of The Moon is one of those albums you can sit down to and listen, without skipping any songs, it's all good. One of my favorites is that you can watch the Wizard of Oz and the synch the two. It's awsome to watch munchkins dance to the 7/8 time of "Money."
