Small talk between host & guest and/or host & audience, fresh make-up as needed, drink of water, fix hair, etc.

Usually, the crew runs in and touches up on makeup. Sometimes, the host has a little bit of time to talk to the guest, but usually not much. It's very hectic.

Sometimes there is a guy who will entertain the audience and usually they are doing makeup, fixing hair and getting everything ready... They let the audience know if they need them to do anything special for the next set ect... Its pretty cool actually.

Letterman meets with his producers & a few writers and gets makeup touched up and the band plays a song. THey horse around a lot. Regis talks to the audience. View women get their hair touched up & talk to the audience.
