My husband is in Canada this week for business. He tells me this morning that his co-worker and boss both have naked pictures of their wife/girlfriend around the home. I assume they are tastefully done and not like gross porn pictures. They both used the same photographer. I am a little weirded out. I have never met the boss or his wife. I have met the co-worker and his girlfriend. In fact they came for a visit and stayed at our cabin last year. But now I am like, okay, my husband has seen her naked! I am not a prude but in all honesty I am not that comfortable with my body that I would do that. And if I did, I think they would be private pictures for my husband, not hanging up in the living room next to the fireplace. Is this like a new thing? A Canadian thing?

I couldn't imagine my naked butt up on the livingroom wall for all my friends and family to see. That's is very odd. Some people will hang it in their bedrooms but not in other rooms of the house. " And this is a picture of me spread eagle on a bear rug... isn't that nice, even the bear is smiling"...lol. There would be NO WAY in hell.

I think it is a little off center, but at least these guys are not hanging pictures of other women naked around their house. As long as the husband and wife do not have a problem with it, and it is in their home, not much to say about it I guess. Now if your husband makes it a point to go visit them all the time, I would not worry too much. He told you about it and that is a good thing.

I wouldn't run to the nearest photographer if you don't feel comfortable doing it. I don't know if it's a Canadian thing, but some people don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't mind a nude portrait because it would be more artistic than someone pointing a camera. If the pictures aren't distasteful, well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If your husband suggests it, let him know you don't feel comfortable about it. Would you prefer a painted portrait instead? If so, get it done and put it in the bedroom. And it probably doesn't even need to be completely nude either. You can use props to cover parts of your body you don't feel comfortable with. A compromise of sorts, I guess. I am very self-consciuos about my body. My husband has taken nude pics of me, but not for display. He thinks I am beautiful and shouldn't feel so self-conscious. If your husband thinks you're beautiful then I don't see a reason why not to have a fun weekend with your digital camera. Say cheese!

Everyone has heard of this before. There are famous paintings from the masters of wives painted for their husbands. There are many couples who have the modern day version done. Some prefer a photograph and some prefer a painting.

I have one of my wife she had made for me that is a painting of her from behind like a classic french painting. It is very nice and very sexy. Most people would not even know it was her.

Today most photogaphers offer a step above the no common "Glamor" shot. We have one friend who had some very repectable nudes done for her husbands den/office and one B/W version that hangs in their living room. Mind you, these are very artsy and very tasteful.

BUT - At the same time she had some made in very sexy garments that were for his eyes only. They looked like high end Playboy shots. She said she would rather have him looking at her than looking through a bunch of girl mags.

aww honey ... don't feel down about it. i too find it odd to have naked pictures of your spouse posted in your home - especially if you plan on having guests. maybe hubby is over exaggerating a bit? if he has a camera cell or digitalcam ask him to send you a pic of the flicks. just so you can get an idea as to what he's talking about. more than likely they're probably just like glamour shots or somethign of that nature. personally, i wouldn't have my nude pics up but to each its own! and if they're not uncomfortable ... im sure the wives/gfs know their pics are up ... then why should you be? as long as you know what you would and wouldn't do - you're all good.

First, I have to assume neither his boss or co-worker have children, at least I hope not. Secondly, I feel nude pictures of a spouse should be kept private, maybe in a wallet if you really want to show them off. I certainly think that displaying them for anyone who comes to your home is inappropriate.

My husband has several of me, but yes, I think hanging them up around the house is a little weird.

we do not loiter around the abode bare a lot. we are formally married for very almost 12 years and performance 2 youngsters (8 and 5.5), so that's no longer precisely an basic component to do. in the adventure that they are having a sleepover outdoors the abode, we are able to in many cases sleep jointly bare, yet we do not walk round 1/2 bare.

That's a little weird, but each to their own. They may be swingers, but who knows? I'd usually only expect something like that in an artist's house, but hey, if that's how they want to decorate, don't worry too much about it. I think it is about as tasteful as having thirty sports trophies on your mantle, but some people are into self-agrandizement. They probably just posed for the photos for fun, and they cost too much to hide!

It's not only wierd, it's wrong. I don't want other people seeing my wife naked in person or in pictures, no matter how tasteful they are done. The only person who I feel has any right to see my wife's body is her doctor. And it's in the office.
