Haha, my mom made me wear a dress on special occasions and when I look back in pictures I have this pissed off look on my face and you can tell that I have been crying. I don't own a dress or skirt either. I just don't feel comfortable in them.
Yeah, that was funny when Shane had to wear the dress by the way.

Well, to answer your question as best as I can. Let me first start by saying that I am a guy who wears skirt, shaves my legs(Have every since High School), I wear pants, shorts, tshirst, the list go on and on. Oh, and by the way I also fight fires too! It's not so much what socitey thinks it's more what you think! The last time I looked there was no laws that said men had to look a certain way. For men to step out side of a comfort zone and be diffrent from other males just dosen't happen! Why mainly becuase we worry too much about what some other male is going to say, or that someone who is not really sucre in there masculitey will try to be stupid and do something they shouldn't. For us males it's all about trying to fit into that real man slot! If you really set back and think about it what is a "Real Man"? For females i feel from some of the books that I have read it easy. Once they have there first period as a little girl they are now looked and in most cultures as women! Why mainly because they can now techincly have kids. Where as men, escpecially in the USA, don't really have a right of passage so to speak. Ya we grow and ya are bodys change and are voice changes. You walk down the streat and ask any person male or female, gay, strait, or some where inbetween what a real man is you will get a millon diffent answers. Men are I guess kind of like a dog we do what we are tougt to do and we do as the rest of the dogs in the pack. If we step out side of that we are looked at as strage or diffrent and as males it is not considerd ok to be to diffent from the other males! I have still made the desicon that if I feel like I want to wear a skirt today I will and if I don't I won't. You have to sit back and try to make up your mind do you want tpo be like the rest of the guys and try to fit into the "Real Man" slot by not wearing a skirt, or are you going to do what makes you happy and be who you are!

This is a great question. I often wondered about that. I had a friend who is a lesbian and she couldn't bring herself to wear a dress to her son's wedding. On the other hand her GF was a real girly girl, wore skirts and dresses all the time. But most of their lesbian friends were in the no skirt or dress camp

...i don't find it hard to weat skirts & dresses at all,...but, thats just me,...i'm femme, or lipstick if you prefer?,...so, when i'm out, you'll almost always see me in a business professional skirt and blazer, hose, and heels,...and when i go clubbing?, well it's the proverbial "lil black dress" look....i just find it more sexy...*wink*
...but, when i'm home?,...well, that's another story all together,...jeans, tenni's, and a tee usually,...something comfy...
