Example judging a friend or co-worker or anyone for doing the same thing you did but saying first " I'd never do that , but did"

Of course, I have contradicted myself. I didn't like it, but you have to evaluate each situation on its own merit. Seems hypocritical but sometimes that is the result of good and bad decision making.
