Zoot suits are fancy suits from the 20s to 40s. They have wide shoulder pads and a form fitting waste to create a tornado look with wide legged tight cuffed pants and a really big fedora hat with a long feather.

They are those suits you see mostly in movies that all the Jazz players wear. They have RIDICULOUSLY huge shoulder pads and the waist is very tailored, so as to get a big upside-down triangle look. The pants are stove pipe (loose and straight)
Usually paired with snappy shoes and a big fadora (hat).
They are usually colorful, but also can be seen in black or with pinstripes.

It is called a zoot suit and they are pin stripe suits that are pretty much wore in the mafia movies by the mafia families and jazz singers they were probably worn in the early 40s or 50s.

Zoot suit is the proper spelling, it's an old style of suit, with really wide shoulders, usually pinstriped with a pocket chain. I would google it if I were you just so you can see a picture.

The yellow suit that Jim Carrey wore in The Mask was a perfect example. I'm sure you'll be Smokin'!

i doubt you will find one except in a vintage store. it was a man's suit. it had very wide lapels and was usually a light color. it was worn in the 20's with a wide brim hat. if you cant find one, just go as a mobster. i think that would be ok.
