It is actually the Olmec civilization found throughout parts of Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. It is thought to have been a precursor for the Mayan civilization.

No, there is much confusion here. No it's not the clovis people, they were hunter gatherers, but did not establish civilizations. It was not the Aztec or Olmecs either. At one point many years ago people used to believe it was the Olmecs, but that was BEFORE the discoveries on the coast of Peru. The oldest city and civilization of the Americas is the Caral, located on the coast of Peru. They predate the Olmecs by between 1800 to 2600!!! Nearly 2000 years BEFORE the existed as a civilization or built ANYTHING, the Caral-Supe people of Peru had already built great step pyramids on the coast of Peru. Look it up on youtube - "Caral The Oldest City In The Americas"

The Caral Supe Civilization was the oldest civilization in the Americas, going back to 27th century BCE. See Caral. It is noteworthy for having absolutely no signs of warfare.

Currently in existence or over all?
Whats your definition of Civilization? City builders? or Cultural?
if you are asking still in existence then probably the Inca or Maya
Culturally, hard call since most north American and many central and south American tribes have no written histories.
City Builder wise, more then likely the Olmec.
it is a hard question to answer since the first people arrived so long ago and we have nothing we can actually tie to one specific culture that far back.

It is the Asians who migrated across the Bering Straits some 15,000 years ago. These Asians settled throughout the Americas.
They became the "Indians" we are familiar with.
