Have just purchased a new web cam and seems to be working in 'slow motion'. Is there anywhere on my pc I can change the settings for this - or is the web cam i have purchased just rubbish! Nothing in trouble shooting instructions with the cam.

I would guess that you are connected on the internet through a USB modem... Correct?
If so then the USB port(s) cannot cope with the throughput of data for the Web Cam and the Internet connection.
Change your USB modem for a Ethernet router / Modem ... this should cure your problems.

Its rare that the webcam has a technical fault cuz its new. Most of the time its the speed of the internet that matters, makes the cam go fast or slow. I'd recommend you use dsl/cable for faster access. If you are already using it then your cam might have a technical fault.

All webcams are slower than real life unfortunately.

You will get used to the time lag though, lol.
