I understand supporting your team, and I understand that anything can happen in the NFL, but it seems that Bears fans really don't understand what's about to happen to their team.
Colts are 7 point favorites, but that's just to keep interest in the game. It's not gonna be close.
I can almost promise you that the Bears are going to be embarrassed in the Superbowl.
Sad, but true.

Wendy - I agree. On paper, Jacksonville would be in the Superbowl. The stats can only take you so far.

people - Chicago has won games in spite of Grossman, not because of him.
2nd, every defense tries to rush Manning....most of them, obviously, have failed. Those teams that have won have had the offense to outgun Indy...historically, while the defense confuses them.
Chicago just can't do that.

Cool Breeze - Of course there's a chance the Bears could win...it's the NFL. Let's be serious here.
There's a chance, but not a very good chance.

My sympathies to all of the good people of Chicago who are living with the idiot, drunk Bears fans that so disgraced them and their city last week.

I'm referring to the "What Katrina started, the Bears will finish" signs and the obscenity laced tirades of all of the drunken idiots viciously directed at Saints fans and the New Orleans TV reporters.

Not being a fan of either the Bears or the Colts (but having been leaning towards rooting for the Bears in the Super Bowl for varioous reasons), I find myself hoping that the Colts demolish the Bears just for poetic justice to those fans who were the classless disgraceful drunken idiots in Chicago last Sunday.

First off, I will state that I am a Colts fan and a Bears fan. Second, the Bears DEF controlled the Saints, who put up more points than the Colts this year. Add that to the fact that Manning is probably more hurt than anyone realizes, The Colts will put up about 21 points. If the Bears can run on the Colts, which may or may not happen, they have a good chance to pull it out. The only way the Colts win is if they go up big early, which I don't see happenning. No way the line should be 7 points.

If you were degrading the Lions fans as delusional, I would agree with you. The Bears, though, are not a wimpy little team that lucked into the Superbowl. They earned it and you may be quite surprised by the outcome. If you're not clear on how the embarassment might be your own, look at the World Series. The Tigers steamrolled their way through the ALCS. But when they got to the big show, they crumbled. Not many gave the Cardinals an icecube's chance in hell (and boy did I clean up by taking those bets!), but the Cards showed up and they made minced meat of the Tigers.

So don't dismiss the Bears just yet. All that Kielbasa has mighty potent properties...on and off the field!

Vegas bookies could care less about building interest in the game. That 7 point spread is to make them money by getting people to bet on the game.

The Colts averaged around 20 points a game to good defenses, which they will see at the Super Bowl. The Bears are very capable of putting up 20 against the Colts. So what makes you so confident? Just a biased Colts fan?

You said, "I can almost promise you that the Bears are going to be embarrassed in the Superbowl." If you only "almost promise," then even you are admitting that there is a chance for the Bears to win. :) I think the Bears are going to be a lot tougher than you expect them to be. The Bears defense will keep them in the game, regardless of which version of Rex Grossman shows up for the game. If good Rex shows up, the Colts won't have a chance. If bad Rex shows up, though, the Bears won't score, so it will all be on the Bears defense then. Although, they showed more than once this year that sometimes their defense and Robbie Gould's foot are all they need to win a game.

Yeah, the Colts will win, but lets not fault the fans for supporting their team. I'm a Colts fan, I've been a Colts fan for a long, long, long time. Finally, my team is poised to win it all. I'm excited. The Bear's fans are in the same place.

Speaking of the game, to the individual above who spoke about the Bears-D causing turnovers, what do you think will happen to Grossman agains the Indy-D...the Colts defense is built around rushing the passer and getting turnovers.

Haha yeah, i'm kinda excited for this matchup, after all soccer is soccer, yet i'm exceedingly specific Rivers and Cutler have grown over that rivalry, by way of fact they are in distinctive divisions now. yet hey, it extremely is attainable they nevertheless hate eachother. i'm slightly worried approximately vs. Nathan Vasher however. If he manages to intercept a Cutler bypass or 2, it says ALOT approximately Lovie Smith's conceal 2 scheme. having mentioned that, it extremely is basically preseason so it does not truthfully count. BQ: risk-free practices OJ Atogwe. he's a limited unfastened agent, and could value the Bears alot, yet he's a outstanding 10 risk-free practices so if the Bears can someway sign him a young, then they are filling a want/getting an impact participant, like the signing of Julius Peppers. On outstanding of that, they had have greater selections interior the draft to look at drafting OL.

You are wrong if you think the Colts can run and hide from the Bears. They will pressure Manning into poor throws which will lead to interceptions, and hassle him in the pocket to force fumbles. Obviously you have not been watching the Bears all season or perhaps even the NFC Championship, when the threw Drew Brees around like a rag doll (the supposed BEST QB in the NFC). The Bears will win, probably by more than you think, I'm guessing 31-20

NFC sucks, NFC playoff games got boring, bears are hurt, another boring Superbowl. But I will tell you that the colts have stepped up and have a nice sync going for them. They beat the best of the best. The bears beat the seahawks and Saints, both that overachieved by luck.

Colts have already beat the best defense this year, which is much better than the Bears. Bears will only have a chance if both benson and jones step up, but the colts have already stopped the 2nd best rb in the league, I don't think they're intimidated. Bears have too many flaws, colts have patched up thier weakness... the city of Chicago overhypes everything. Your city is EMO.

The Bears can make it a close game, but three things have to take place:
1) Payton Manning breaks his leg in practice and doesn't play.
2) Dwight Freeny and the defensive starters get arrested on South Beach and miss the game.
3) Grossman gets benched and they start Brian Griese.
