Who do you think is God or what? Do you have any image in mind? Do you think He is figment of the imagination. Do you think any religion can define God?

God is a concept, like gravity and evolution.
God is an illusion to make us do what we think is right or wrong.
God is a pissed off parent who has lost interest in His children.
God is buying a six-piece McNugget and getting seven... and a switchblade.
God is intangible, impertinent, and impossible.
God is a blind man fighting a gang of midget amputees.
God is faith, faith is blind, therefore, God is blind.
God is a heartbroken poet, with no control over His circumstances.
God is an absentee landlord.

God is not he she or it. god does not even have a physical existance.

God is a concept. Which is ther reason for the existance of the whole universe. Like a law or concept which the everything in this universe will have to abide so as to exist as it is. May be scientists in distant future might find out what that is. But for now its out of our grasp.

Present day scientists say that smallest part of matter could be a circular string made of pure energy, quantized and controlled by an unknown concept which humans cant possibly comprehent and vibrating in 24 different dimensions (Even 4 dimensions are freaking me out...cant imagine 18 more), out of which a combination of 4 makes our physical universe. So a combination of other four or less or more dimensions might be making other universes. So what is governing these strands of strings and governing them so as to ensure the existance of these parallel universes? i believe that concept can be called god for it is the reason for the sxistance of the whole universe in what ever dimensions it is.

Its clear that a human is not capable of comprehending and visualizing such a complex concept. So quit bothering what god is and enjoy your life, chase your dreams, do good to others and when you die make others say....he was a nice man...may he rest in peace.

God is the maker of life. He is everything. He can come in any shape or form. And i don't think that religion can define God because there are all sorts of religions and some ever go against who god is.

Do you think that a fish can have the right image of the ocean? She has to come out of the ocean to see the vastness of the ocean. In the same way we have to come out of our limitations to grasp the image of God. No religion in the world can define god for you. It's only you who can define your own god.

I think that God is everything that we can see and everything that we can't see.

The image that I find most descriptive is, Have you ever watched the lightning as it jumped from cloud to cloud on a warm summer evening lighting them up from the inside?

No I believe that the so-called physical reality is a figment of our imagination, not God.

All religion can do is put limits on our understanding of God with their descriptions and definitions.

love and blessings Don

I think god is more of a what. To give a "being" such as god a human form and persona is inadequate to the scope of that "being". Said being is well beyond the scope of our labels and conjectures, and to attempt to label it and put it into a tangable form is impossible. So god is a what. I believe the concept of god to represent in a three letter word all that was, is and will be in time and space, as well as all interpretations of it. All religions define god or gods, and the common link is that all trancend time and space, and are ever existing, here before the universe to create it and will be long after. I believe that in this way, we can define god as the single instant, infinently short in time and space, as the big bang. That one instant in which the universe was set in motion, in which, through probabality of where things in the universe ended up based on their point and time of creation and the interaction with other created things to form larger things, the fate of all things was decided.

God is an idea.
He is the idea of omnipotence, omniscient etc...
That cannot be possible as how can you be all knowledgeable when things are constantly changing, beliefs, designs, fashion, laughter.....terrorist attacks....

He is an idea.
But is the idea real?
God has no religion.
Nobody can define him, as we do not know him.
If you look at someone in the street and make a snap judgement without actually getting to know them, that is what religion does about God.
He is the ULTIMATE idea.

Religion can not define God, religions defy God. The Bible says God is a spirt, light, love, and many other things. God is real. The one and only real true God of the Bible. The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, the great three in one. If you really want to know who God is I suggest you go to someone who has the correct view of the Bible. That is inerrent, scientificaly accurate, and the unfoulible word or the all mighty God. God created the heaven, the earth, and all that in them is. Evolution is one of the biggest lies in history. Is your great to the 100th grandpa a rock? How does life evolve from non-living matter? Where does matter come from? 1st and 2nd law of thermodynamics. Boil's law, Cole's law, the consevervation of angular momentum. The layers of the earth were formed in Noah's flood, dinasaurs lived with man, the pangea theory never happend, the grand canyon was not formed over millions and millions of years, public schools are not desiged to educate, textbooks are not desiged to help you think criticallly, and if you believe everything your public school and college teachers and books tell you, you will end up a brain washed morron, which is good news to the devil. Which is who the teachers, nearly all of them, are working for. Go talk to a fundemental Baptist pastor about who God is and salvation. Let him show you with the Bible who we are and what it is God wants. I am just trying to tell you, the world doesn't know. Your teachers don't know, the people on this site don't know. "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14 Have you ever heard of Born Again Christians? I you have from someone who lives for the world it was probably hate speach or ridicule. The world doesn't like the real true Christian, because the live for their father who is the devil. The opposite of cold is hot, and if you are not living for the one and only real true God of the Bible, then you are living for the devil, and can not see the kingdom of God. Jesus, who is God, said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." You must be born again."For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is enternal life through the Jesus Christ our Lord." Roamns 6:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 I could spend a lot of time with you going through the scriptures, proving to you the God is who he says he is, and that you are in need of the salvation plan that is available only through Jesus. It doesn't matter what the world thinks, it matters what God thinks. Get yourself in a fundemental Baptist Church and learn what God has for you.

See how all these idiots say, "I think" when they talk about God? They don't know anything. See how that dunce "Star Girl" says, "We are Gods" that is what evolution and wicca teaches. You can be God. That was also Hitlers idea. I know who God is with out question. Don't listen to these wordly idiots. Do not reley on your own understanding. Put your faith in the God of the Bible only.
