New York State Law regarding Short Term disability?

does anyone know how many sick days are required before short term disability kicks in? I know it used to be 5 but someone from HR is saying that the law changed and now its after 3 days.

Maybe they mean that you have to be sick for 3 days to get sick pay. I live in Washington state and back in 2001 I was in the hospital for 5 days and got sick pay after 3 days of being off work.

I dont see pregnancy being a disability either is a voluntary choice.... Anyway ur should throughly check with human resources
