No. The transmission is only part of the pakage that gives more payload and towing. As others have said it will improve the life of your transmission. To increase pay load the chassis it self needs to be improved as well as brakes and engine.

NOOOOOOO , don't listen to the idiots on here! It will not increase your payload or towing capacities. That is all about the suspension, gear ratio, engine combo, and transmissions capabilities. You will increase the life of the transmission. It also helps prevent damage when you are towing or carrying a heavy load. Thats why its called a TRANSMISSION COOLER! Hey you can go pull more and eventually its going to cost you! You can damage your rear end, transmission and suspension. Stick with the max the manufacturer gave it. Pending what size truck and age, you can install are stronger(LARGER) rear-end. You have to be careful on here people wanna tell you crap thats going to cost you money, they get a kick out of it. If your truck says it can tow 9,00lbs max and you go pull 10,000 you might not cause damage right then but you keep it up theres no telling what will go wrong. Its not worth over working your truck, if you need more buy a bigger truck!

No,but I install them on every transmission I own. Heat destroys a trannies. Automakers put the smallest thing on to hopefully get thru warranty. I buy the large cooler, and do away with radiator lines.

Unless the cooler is installed by the dealer as part of a towing package, no. While the transmission cooler will help the transmission not to overheat while towing, it does not give you stronger springs, frame, more power, etc.

No that's largely determined by the suspension, journals, and wheel bearings of the vehicle. A transmission cooler will however extend the life of the transmission.

yes to the question, however it only increases the overall performance of the tranny...Allows it to run cooler by removing heat from the tranny oil....

i dont know about that, but if it gets overheated, you wont burn the oil in your tranny, like if you had the cooling lines hooked up to the radiator.
