I mean, why do we sing louder when the music is louder?

I should add: Singing recreationally, not performing.

For me, singing is about expressing what's in my heart. I'd never sing a song that I didn't feel anything from, for instance. And when the music is louder....I sing louder just because I can ;)

Singing is also a form of praise to God, and that is perhaps why some people also sing louder when the music is louder, if that makes any sense.

expressing the tone on a higher note when needed, for example, in wembleys concert, england, freddy mercury couldn't perform his best, because he is a extraordinary singer, but not for a hard riff rock concert, he had to raise his voice many times, and it didnt work sometimes..
