What would that do? He's homeless, alright I get it. Why should I give up something for him, just for the sake of giving it up. That's not charity, that's stupidity. If I were to put effort into the problem of homelessness I would direct my attention on eliminating the free handouts that give these people a reason to be on the streets, and I'd start finding them places to live and work. They need to learn how to support themselves, not just live off of others.

I would NOT give away any of my favorite possessions. Because they are my favorites, they are irreplaceable... my wedding rings, my Baby, the Captain...none of them are replaceable. And the probability that he'd hock it for booze wouldn't give me any pleasure, either. If I'm going to support someone else's habit, I'll give them some cash.

Depends on whether the item would be of any real use for the person...his/her state of homelessness would have little to do with my decision

I don't know just what my favorite possession is but I have given many things away and really never missed them, so yes is the answer.

Hell no! I would tell that foul to get a damn job. These people choose to live the life they are living. I wont support people that don't even care about them selfs.
