Perhaps you are referring to the "secret rooms and hidden tunnels" mentioned in this paragraph ...

"Another critical route of the Underground Railroad followed an Indian trail known as the Bullskin Trace from the Ohio River to Lake Erie. A section of the old Bullskin Trace is incorporated in the hiking trail system at Caesar Creek State Park, and north of Xenia, it tracks State Route 68, which passes just to the west of John Bryan and Buck Creek state parks. The community of Harveysburg, adjacent to Caesar Creek State Park, and the neighboring countryside contained a number of underground railroad stations. Many of the homes reputed to have secret rooms and hidden tunnels are gone now, but their legacy lives on."

A long time ago I visited some old homes that had hidden tunnels for hiding slaves along the underground railroad in Ohio.

Morality must always supersede law! As a society we need to recognize this when there are those on trial for doing what is right. Jurry nullification was common in the old days for this very reason. That was the great protection of our jury system.
