You should go to Der Rhinelander in Portland, OR on Sandy Boulevard. Get there before 6:00 for the early bird special and you can have fondue, beer onion soup, rolls with plum jam, choice of tasty German entrees, and apple strudel with cream for dessert for a good price. Plus it's pretty inside and they play accordion music.
Bon appetit!

East Side Mario's, Boston Pizza, and other trendy medium-class cool fancy restaurants. Maybe a traditional Japanese restaurant with no chairs where you have to take off your shoes before you come in?

What are you going for? Celebration or just a regular date night?
What city are you in? How much are you looking to spend? What type of food do you like? This question is endlessly vague.

Support a small locally owned restaurant and eat there rather than the big chains where you're just paying someone to heat up frozen food.
