Come on Over is the third album by Shania Twain, released in 1997 (see 1997 in music). The album is the biggest-selling album of all time by a female artist, and the fifth biggest selling album in music history, along with Garth Brooks's Double Live. It spawned no less than twelve singles. Following her massive success album The Woman In Me in 1996 which certified 12 times platium, Come On Over was considered to be a disappointment by many when it first released. Debuting at #2 on the billboard 200 with a moderate 172,000 copies (3,000 units behind Mase Harlem World), the album would show it consistency when it moves another 170,000 copies in its second week (a mere 1.2% decrease) to stay at #2 again behind Barbara Streisand Higher Ground. The album would never go higher than #3 on the billboard chart again but would stay on the top 20 for a record 99 weeks consistently sales more than 100,000 for an incredible 62 times. Amazingly, the album single week sales peak was on its 110th week selling a whooping 355,000 to settle at #10 (Christmas 1999). The Album would stay on the top 100 for 151 weeks before drop the catalog. For certified sales see Shania Twain albums.
