We will be visiting San Francisco in mid-February, which I understand has a great jazz scene. Please recommend clubs to check out. Thanks!

Rasselas on Filmore and Geary is an intimate club in the heart of what was once THE jazz center of SF. In addition to a house band in the front room there is also a large back room. Generally no cover until after 9 pm. They also serve good Ethiopian Food.
Another Ethiopian/jazz club is Club Wazima on Divisadero and Fell. Only beer and wine, but hey they have red flocked wallpaper, what's not to love?

Brunos on Mission at 20th has reopened [Yeah!] serving burgers, salads and other bar favorites with live jazz on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Bix on Gold Alley at Montgomery in North Beach has jazz nightly and serves good food. They are a great place to start a jazz crawl through North Beach. Other NB jazz spots are Bimbo's 365 1025 Columbus, Broadway Studios at 435 Broadway, Pearls at 256 Columbus, or Blues at Lous 300 Jackson or even the Saloon at 1232 Grant [not fancy, but jumpin']

The Plush Room host concerts nightly and is the SF home to many jazz cabaret acts. Not cheap as there is a ticket charge plus a two [watered down] drink minimum.
And if you like Blues as well as Jazz try the Boom Boom Room at Geary and Fillmore or Biscuits and Blues on Mason at Geary.

The best jazz club in the bay area is Yoshi's in Oakland.
