"This is the question Sen. Hillary Clinton's camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama." ( www.insightmag.com, 1/17/2007).

"An investigation of Mr. Obama by political opponents within the Democratic Party has discovered that Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia. Sources close to the background check, which has not yet been released, said Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia."

"He was a Muslim, but he concealed it," the source said. "His opponents within the Democrats hope this will become a major issue in the campaign."

OooOooOo, Senator Obama was raised as a Muslim.... This is so sad, now being a muslim is a stigma? It is an Honor for him to be raised as a Muslim... Maybe his step father was a Mystic, a true muslim.. That would have really served Humanity...

So stock the crap and find "real" issues to report on.. or "dirt" as you call it.. But being a muslim sure isn't one of them...

I have never heard anywhere in my country people saying "oooooo so and so was raised in a christian school".. That's Dumb...

As a kid I went to "COPTIC" schools and till now these schools are the best.... and I'm a Muslim.. "BIG DEAL"

We're all monothiest abrahamic... god believing people...

Arrggghhhhh

Ignorance is a Disease

THis is right propaganda meant to confuse the issue. We was in Indonesia for several years while he was growing up, he attended a moderate Muslim school for a year and a Catholic school for a year as well.

Nazi-conservatives will go to any lengths to sow the seeds of hate, Don't listen to their lies!!!

If he doesn't get it, he has put his foot in the door for those who follow him.
I am a conservative Republican but I would vote for Obama if he was the most qualified for the job. I don't think we know very much about him, and that does concern me.
Leave it to the liberal media and even they sometimes can't resist a juicy story, remember Bill Clinton?

Even if he was forced, for a short time, to conform to the religion of a parent as a child, I doubt if any American wasn't.

He has attended the Trinity United Church of Christ for years. As an educated adult, he has chosen a Christian life for himself and his family.

Also, our country guarantees freedom of religion and has laws against discrimination based on religion. If the other candidates attack him for his childhood religion, they are, in effect, breaking the law.

He has my vote. He graduated from a high school in Hawaii. Also, during the holidays he visited his family here to make a decision. And if Barack wanted to do something, we would of been the ones dead right now.
