The NFL has a policy in place that forces teams to interview at least one minority during their search for a head coach. To me, this is asinine.
Let's say the Detroit Lions say that Bill Parcells is their guy. Come hell or high water, the Lions will do whatever it takes to bring Parcells on board. If this is public knowledge, then any minority (or anyone, for that matter) brought in to interview will simply be going through the motions, and for "P.C."'s sake.
Would you want to go to a job interview where you knew that you stood exactly ZERO chance to get the job? Me, neither.
This is a CLASSIC example of affirmative action gone wrong. I'm not saying that it shouldn't exist, I'm saying that it shouldn't exist in this scenario. Nobody benefits from it.

The NFL began to require a couple of years ago for each NFL team who has a head coaching vacancy to interview at least one African-American candidate.
The practice however has been rebuked as laughable as many NFL team owners already have in mind replacements (usually big name candidates or someone from within the system) and many African-American assistants and interviewees have "gone through the motions" needlessly.

They have to interview a minority for a head coaching position. But all other coaching spots don't matter. It is a stupid rule, just like affirmative action, it takes a small part away from our capitalistic society working right.

When interviewing for a Head Coach position, one has to include at least one minority.
This, in its purest form, is racism.

they have to interview at least one minority which is wrong cause they should be interviewing the best canadites, and no one would want to interview for a job just so they could fill the quota and check the minority block knowing they were not going to get the position
