How have emotional influences affected recent decisions at work?

I recently had a hard tie emoionally and ended up in the hospital. Obviously this affected my work. I talked with my boss, was honest with her,and she spported me thru the time. She was even kind enough to tell my coworkrs that the pneumonia I had a week earlier had rturned so there were no questions asked when I returned.
