No, there isn't. Once it is hard it is impossible to make it moist and plyable again. Sculpy Clay is the way to go. It is inexpensive, comes in lots of colors, can be found at Walmart or any craft store and it doesn't need to be kept in airtight containers at all. It stays nice and soft until you are done with your creation and bake it at 250 for 1/2 hour. The only drawback is that it isn't safe for little kids who like to put things in their mouths. Honestly? I would just buy new playdough because it is fairly inexpensive. Good luck. I tried to rehydrate playdough when my kids were small and nothing worked.

Even if the tip does work for you ... check out the site anyway they have tons of out to make items with playdoh

This is the tip they give you to re hydrate your playdoh
My PLAY-DOH compound is drying out. How can PLAY-DOH compound be softened or moistened?

To restore the softness to PLAY-DOH compound, try adding water one drop at a time and working it in to moisten the PLAY-DOH compound.

You can also try wrapping the PLAY-DOH compound in a damp paper towel, returning it to the container and replacing the cover. Let it sit overnight.
