Jack Nickolson was, without a doubt. He has been overlooked for many years. He is a gifted and talented actor. His personal life is so strange, it gives him the natural ability to play many of the roles he does so brilliantly AND believable. Even when he plays the "bad guy," MOST viewers can't help but cheer for his character.

probably jack nicholson, I don't think dreamgirls or borat were Oscar worthy... they were good films but none had a real significant deep meaning. Well Borat actually picked at American culture, and Dreamgirls just showed how sheisty the music industry is, and it ended in a good way, but the real thing doesn't end like that, and the lady the Jen Hudson played actually committed suicide in real life, so I will go with Jack Nicholson in Departed.

i am going to assume you're proscribing it to the 2013 awards and not in any respect all time. because the Academy has snubbed each and every thing from Brokeback Mountain to Saving inner most Ryan, from Goodfellas to Reds, from community to The Graduate, and from massive to The Wizard of oz.. If we restricted it to this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, i might want to say John Hawkes for The classes, Leonardo DiCaprio for Django Unchained, Ezra Miller for Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Affleck, Bigelow, and Tarantino for most acceptable Director. For the most area, the honestly award winners were exceptionally honest. i imagine Hugh Jackman had a a lot harder function than DDL, so it would want to were spectacular if he had received. and that i loved ruin-It-Ralph, while courageous become exceptionally yet had a kinda unusual plot.

Borat was supposed to be such a "frontrunner" and didn't get many nods. "Dreamgirls" should have gotten a best picture nod, I think. I hope Jennifer Hudson wins!
