Get an online account like gmail. That way he can't recover them because they're never actually on the computer. You could also try to stop cheating.

It depends on what programme you are using, but I would say the answer is probably "no" - especially if you take the proper precautions.
What e-mail are you using? Is it Outlook, or a web service?
If you are using Outlook, you should realize that it does not actually delete the e-mail even after you have deleted it from trash. When you compact your folders (this option is found on the File menu), it goes through and purges all of the mail that has been marked for deletion. If you are really concerned about it, compact your folders every time you exit. It will probably take a few minutes.
If you are using a web-based e-mail service (hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail, etc), clear your browser's cache before you log off, and you should be alright.

Yes, deleted e-mail can always be retrieved in e-mail programs.
But if your using webmail accessed through Firefox or Internet Explorer, then no, once you do all that it's gone forever.

It depends. Some programs, like Outlook, also have a "deleted items" folder. I would just go through your folder list and make sure it wasn't put in one of those.
