If you have been on parole since 1997 and have no trouble since being on parole, the parole is up 2009, would you be permitted to travel to another country, such as, Carribean?, for vacation. Thanks. It wasn't for murder charges or anything like that. It was a drug charge. A great member of society today, turned their life around.

Clarify, It wasn't me. Its my husband. We are business owners now and he is truly a great man. We have been out of state with permission, but I was just wondering about the country. We will of course ask his officer first, but just trying to get a feel for it first. Thanks.

That would be up to the parole officer but I really doubt they are gonna let you go to the Carribean with all the drugs there considering your drug history.

If you are under supervised parole you would have to ask your parole officer if not it depends on the conditions of your parole generally I would say no you can't but is they don't know you are gone what harm? Of course you now need a passport to re-enter the USA and if you don't have one you may not be able to get one. Or a hold order may be on it. I wouldn't take the chance.

They would have to check with their parole officer. I think 12 years is a little stiff for a drug charge, unless there was a gun involved. I, myself, if I was a parole officer would not have a problem granting this if they have not had any problems and have been showing that they are now clean.
