The fabric conditioner tray keeps filling up with water so I cant use it. I regularly remove the drawer and clean it out and also clean the filter at the bottom of the machine so I cant understand what could be wrong. Any ideas?

Is it the little tube that gets blocked up with gunk thats the problem? I clean mine with pipe cleaners that I get from a local cheapjack shop, they're meant for kids crafts. If you can't see through it, its blocked.

I have the same problem. It think the only way is to regularly remove the tray and give it a good scrubb with hot water.

I think most machines do that, I still use mine, because the softener is more dense than water the softener will sink to the bottom and the water will flow over the top.

You CAN use it, just pour the softener liquid in ............................... .you will find it disperses the water back into the machine and you have a compartment full of softener !!!! Go for it .................Good Luck.
If you use a dryer, another alternative is:- Buy 2x solid balls, specifically made for use in the dryer. you place them in the dryer WITH your washing straight from the W/Machine. They tumble with the items to be dried and soften the fabric as they come in contact. I use these little balls and have had very good results. Saves buying Softener, they cost around £5 initially.
