Hillary seems to be the favored child of the Democratic Party, but the question must be asked. Can she win a national election? How can she be expected to carry even one red state?
She is a polarizing figure and the large majority of American voters have made up their minds about her. Add to that the fact that she is not a particularly likable person. To most voters she comes across as shrill and mean spirited. This may not seem the case to her supporters, but the vast middle does not find her appealing.
Her winning the primary is not a forgone conclusion either. There has surfaced many other candidates that are very attractive to primary voters. And. Her support for the war is likely to hurt her with her base in the primaries. Obama, Edwards, Gore, and Richardson stand a very good chance of spoiling her bid in 2008.
Her one trump card and the reason I would never count her out, is Bill. Bill Clinton is the natural that Hillary is not. Even those who are opposed to Bill's policies can't help but be attracted to him. There may be enough desire by the voters to have Bill back in the White House (if only as a First Gentleman) to get his wife elected. Wouldn't it be sad if the first woman elected president got there purely on the merits of husband.

It's called asking people for their opinions. Believe it or not, there was a time back in the 90's when the opinions of Americans actually mattered. Maybe George Bush should come on yahoo answers and asked for ideas on Iraq. Oh that's right. Congress has presented him with alternative solutions, he just chooses to ignore them.

If she is elected, maybe those who do not care for her policies and do not trust her will come here to YA every day and ridicule and slam her, asking ridiculous questions that have no logical answer and have nothing to do with the issues. Oh wait, that's already been done.
